Marjorie Leona (Stringfellow) McKnight, age 67 passed away at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 31, 2007.
Marjorie was born September 29, 1939 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas to Floyd R. Stringfellow and Marjorie (Demetrovich) Stringfellow. She graduated from Coats High School in 1956. Marjorie worked as a legal secretary for thirty years for law firms in Oklahoma and Kansas before retiring. She was an excellent seamstress and golfer. Marjorie had been member of Meadowbrook Country Club. She served on the board of directors for the local LPGA. She had been involved with the annual Tulsa Red Glove Review for many years. Marjorie and her family enjoyed weekends at their lake home on Lake Hudson. Marjorie and Jim recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She was a kind and loving spiritual person and she will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Marjorie McKnight was preceded in death by both parents: Floyd and Marjorie Stringfellow along with her son: James Benton McKnight.
She is survived by her husband: James C. €œJim€ McKnight of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her son: Donald R. McKnight and his wife, Frances of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her brother: Robert Stringfellow of Kansas, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren and another on the way.
Memorial Services will be held 1:00p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Tulsa,OK
