Marilyn Joan Hess

Marilyn Joan Hess passed away with loving family by her side on Friday February 18, 2022, at the age of 89 years.

Marilyn was born on July 28, 1932 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to her parents, Elmer and Lydia (Kehm) Williams.

She loved to read, cook and watch tennis, but the joy of her life was her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was the best listener and always so patient. You could tell her anything without being judged. She LOVED to dance and was always the life of the party. She never liked to wear shoes and only liked to wear comfy sweats but would always want the tags cut out. She was flexible like a pretzel. She would never use the word hate but always spoke her mind which is something we all loved about her. She was loving and selfless to the end.

She and her sister Judy were best friends and were always there for each other. One of their favorite things to do together was to go to the casino and play the penny slots.

She is preceded in death by her father, Elmer Williams; mother, Lydia Williams; sister, Lois Ahrens; sister, Shirley Fitzgerald; brother, Bob Williams; brother, Billy Williams.

Marilyn leaves many loving memories with her family, daughter Becca Collins and husband Chris; daughter Heidi Boydstun and husband Larry; son Bobby Hess and wife Desiree; sister Judy Jeffries; along with her grandkids Justin Fairchild and his wife Lauren, Blake Fairchild, Alyx Baustert and her husband Louis, Tyler Boydstun, Tanner Boydstun, Nate Hess and her great grandkids Rosalind Thomas, Leo Fairchild and Baby Boy B on the way, as well as many other loving relatives and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
