Marilyn DeMoss

April 18, 1943 — September 5, 2024

Marilyn Sue DeMoss, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the age of 81. Marilyn was born on April 18, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Calvin "Bill" and Helen Main.

Marilyn grew up in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where she graduated from high school in 1961. She continued her education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Marilyn met the love of her life, Glenn DeMoss, Jr., as a result of her needing to correct a payroll error that caused Glenn to not receive his paycheck. The two were married on September 3, 1983, and shared a life filled with love, adventure, and joy.

Marilyn's passions included boating and fishing at Grand Lake, traveling across the United States and abroad, and participating in bridge groups with her friends. She was a devoted sports enthusiast, passionately following all basketball, the OKC Thunder, the Olympics, and her favorite, OU football. Marilyn also had a deep affection for her dogs and maintaining a lifelong commitment to health and wellness.

Family was the heart of Marilyn's life. She was a devoted wife, an exceptional mother, and a proud grandmother. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a member of the First Christian Church of Sapulpa. Marilyn's happiest moments were spent with her family, often gathered for joyous family events or cheering on her favorite football team, BOOMER SOONER!
