A graveside service honoring the life of Rita Ticer has been scheduled for 1:00PM Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Oklahoma with Pastor Johnathon Chambers officiating. Rita passed from this life to be reunited with her husband on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was 90 years old. Friends are invited to pay their respects 9:00am-5:00pm Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service.
Rita was born on January 5, 1930, in Woodward, Oklahoma to Milton and Blair Marston. She married R. Jerry Ticer on January 19, 1952.
Rita was very active in the Women's Auxiliary and a founder of the Hospice Care in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was also a member of Evergreen Baptist Church, in Bixby. Rita was well known for the food she cooked, and her pudding, meatloaf, and oatmeal cookies were some of her most recognized dishes, but she also made an infamous potato salad.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Dr. Richard and Judy Ticer; three grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
