Marie Louise Neafus

Marie Louise Neafus, 84, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Grace Living Center, Jenks, Oklahoma. Mrs. Neafus was born in Hominy, Oklahoma to L. D. Gordon and Elizabeth Doerr Gordon on February 25, 1920. She met the love of her life Lester Neafus and they were married August 23, 1919 in Jenks, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Neafus was a retired dietary aide and throughout her career she worked at St. Johns Medical Center and Tulsa Regional Medical Center. She loved gardening, teaching vacation bible school and church camp. Mrs. Neufus was a long time member of Regular Baptist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Neafus was preceded in death by both parents: L. D. Gordon and Elizabeth Gordon; her husband: Lester Neafus who passed away February 13, 1989 and by one son, Richard Neafus. She is survived by sisters: Betty Hicks, of Glenpool and Helen Denton, of Kellyville, Oklahoma. Mrs. Neafus is also survived by 4 daughters: Shirley Parks, of Kellyville; Margaret Ray, of Glenpool; Elizabeth Vickery, of Jenks and Nancy White, of Kiefer, Oklahoma. Mrs. Neafus also has 22 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Regular Baptist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma with the Reverend Troy Hayes officiating. Committal with be at Park Grove Cemetery, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma immediately following funeral service.
