Marie Chastain

Marie Chastain age 86 passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Meadowbrook Specialty Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Marie was born January 10, 1923 in Damascus, Arkansas to Lincoln Cohen Tarkington and LuZana Evelyn (Chastain) Tarkington. She graduated in 1940 from Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Marie married the love of her life, Wilton Louis Chastain, at the Four Square Church in Little Rock on June 10, 1941. Marie loved to read and cook. She had a very strong faith in God.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents: Lincoln and LuZana Tarkington; her husband: Wilton Chastain (1993); her daughter: Anita Marie Chastain along with two brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her daughter: Janet Kay Chastain of Jenks; her sister in law: Ernestine Shoun of Lewiston, Idaho along with two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four nephews and one niece.
Visitation will be Monday, March 9th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10th at NewSpring Family Church, 2907 W. 108th Place, Jenks, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
