Margie Ann Hess Miller was born June 2, 1922, in Midian, Kansas, to Earl and Ella Hess. She and her brother George grew up in Midian and Margie was a graduate of El Dorado High School. Margie was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church and remained faithful and devoted to God throughout her life.
Margie married Keith Miller on October 12, 1943, in Vancouver, Washington, where Keith was stationed in the U.S. Army. She and Keith had one daughter, Sherry Kay, born in June of 1945.
Margie took a job at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas, during World War II. She was always proud to be a “Rosie” and continued to be active in the VFW throughout her life. Margie and Keith were able to enjoy traveling and playing golf for many years after retirement, and Margie continued to be active with her family up until the time of her passing. She was a faithful fan of the Kansas Jayhawks, St. Louis Cardinals and the San Antonio Spurs, and rarely missed watching a game.
As a result of her generous spirit, she was loved by and will be missed by many. She peacefully departed this life Monday, December 12, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Miller, brother, George Hess, and parents, Earl and Ella Hess.
