Our beloved Lyuba Desyatnikov passed away peacefully in her home in Tulsa, OK on the morning of June 6, 2020. She was a beautiful and vibrant soul; loved by many. She will forever be cherished and missed. Lyubov’s journey started on May 20th, 1984. Born in the small town of Krasnodar, Russia. She was the 6th child to Anna and Valentin Baklashev. In 1989, at the age of 5, Lyuba’s family packed up all of their personal belongings and moved to America for a chance of freedom, and a better life. Immigrating to Oak Park, IL, the family continued to grow over the years, and Lyuba found herself being the middle of 12 children. Growing up together brought many wild, and amusing adventures together, as well as many difficult challenges that life often brings. Together we navigated life as best we could, and as brothers and sisters, our bonds are unbreakable and full of love.
Lyuba was right in the center of that rooted love. She cared with such a loving heart, took care of her younger siblings, comforted them, and fiercely stood up for them. This was her character and her natural form from the beginning. Lyuba met and married the love of her life, Ruslan Desyatniov and married him on Oct 4, 2007. They are blessed with two beautiful children, Matthew, 11, and Dinah, 5. Lyuba loved and cherished her family with all her heart.
At the age of 24, she received a devastating diagnosis of a progressive form of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The last 2 years of her life had compromised her health so much, and she continued to battle and fight while bed ridden. Her husband, children, family, and friends have witnessed her strong will to live. Her fight was inspiring to all and miraculous in it of itself. No matter how hard or impossible it got, Lyubochka strongly perservered. Lyuba went to be with Jesus at the young age of 36, leaving behind her husband, 2 kids, family, and friends. Her body is gone, but her soul and legacy of love lives on! Luke 23:43 “and he said to him, “truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to those who have come to support us during this time of loss.
