Lucy Cruz Myers

Lucy Cruz Myers passed away, Friday, August 14, 2015 at her home in Tulsa.

Lucy was born August 4, 1924 in the Philippines to Severino and Dionicia (Aquino) Cruz. She was an importer of mercantile. Lucy attended St. Paul Women's University in Phillipines, University of Arkansas, Women's Auxillary Unit in the Phillipines during World War II, Legion of Mary in Springfield, MO and Third Tertiary.

Lucy met her husband, Vernon A. Myers while he was serving in World War II. They were married and had four children in the Philippines before moving back to Vernon's home in Missouri. Their 50 year marriage was filled with the love they shared as they journeyed through it, having eight more children in the United States and there was "never a dull moment". Lucy will be remembered for all of the kind words and wisdom she imparted to anyone she encountered. She will always be in the hearts of her family, her number one priority.

She preceded in death by husband, Vernon A. Myers; parents; daughter, Jayne Wertz; son, Joseph Myers. Lucy is survived by children: Lillian Roach, Mary Mae Wigton, Elizabeth Todhunter, Angela Goff, Lucita Trepp, Maria Myers, Severino Myers, John Myers, Eva Holmes and Michael Myers; grandchildren: Tammy Noose, Peter Wertz, Holly Rogers, Hope Wertz, Letisha Kehoe, Tara Myers, Lori Wigton, Jessica Blackmon, Amber Rausch, Jason Clarke, Maxwell Todhunter, Rob Todhunter, Joseph Ryan Myers, Candace Clemmons, Christian Myers, Colin Myers, Blanca VanBeber Dixon, Ryan Ludvigson, Janna Peters, Mary Holmes, Lucas Holmes, Cristal Thompson Anglin, Cassie Tyson Mashburn, Jamie Lisenby, Justin Trepp, Rhiannon Trepp, Lance Trepp, Andrew Bettlach, Bradley Bettlach and Mercedes Laughlin, Forty-one great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

A rosary will be held 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service, Tulsa. A mass has been scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Holy Family Cathedral, Tulsa.
