Lucile A. Thomas, 100, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at her residence of Colonial Manor. She was born the daughter of Richard and Bessie Setzer on October 15, 1916 in Motley, Minnesota. She met and married Clyde Thomas, and the two celebrated 72 years of matrimonial bliss. They moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to be closer to family after retirement. Lucile retired from Montgomery Ward Department Store, as a secretary. She was a proud member of Brookside Baptist Church and Centurion's of Oklahoma. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Thomas; son, Merlin Thomas; and parents, Richard and Bessie Setzer; 3 sisters and 5 brothers.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Sharon Thomas of Tulsa, OK; granddaughters, Sheila Hallett and husband, Gary of Broken Arrow, OK and Leslie Edison and husband, Marc of Broken Arrow, OK; Brian Thomas of Tulsa, OK, Jenelle Tripp and husband, Phil of Texas, Cindy Hill and husband, Gregg of Tulsa, OK and Eric Geer of Kansas City, MO; 14 great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, 11:00am at Brookside Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK with interment scheduled at a later date in Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
