Lovena Alice Spradling, age 77, was born on November 30, 1931 in Henryetta, Oklahoma and died on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2009 in Edmond, Oklahoma. During her lifetime, she resided in Henryetta, Wichita, Tulsa, Newkirk, Okmulgee and most recently Edmond, where she and her husband have lived for the past year. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the piano, travel, crossword puzzles and bridge. Preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Elizabeth McClain, and her sister, Edwina McClain. Lovena is survived by her husband, Jean L. Spradling; her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Pete Hall; her grandson and wife, Rev. Joseph and Amy Hall; and two precious great grandchildren, Samuel Joseph and Ella Grace Hall. She especially delighted in these two little ones. Nothing made her happier than to hear of Sam’s latest cute sayings and to see Ella smile. Lovingly cared for during her years of ill health by her husband, Jean, Lovena was a ten-year lung cancer survivor. She bravely battled emphysema, and the family is so grateful that her passing was peaceful and that she was not afraid at the time of her death.
