Louise Loy Waddle Hamon, 79, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at home with her family. She was born on Tuesday, March 10, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Jesse Waddle and Evelyn Bell Purcell. She was welcomed into this world with her twin Sister Eloise Joy Waddle and joined 6 other brothers and sisters: Bill, Bob, Margie, Juanita, Pat and Cary.
Louise married Laurence Wade Hamon on Wednesday, October 1, 1952, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma at the Southside Baptist Church. During their marriage of forty-six years they were residents of Okmulgee where they raised their 3 children, Larry, Terry and Kathy. Her husband, Laurence went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 7, 1999.
Louise is survived by her twin sister, Eloise Joy Waddle Belcher of Muskogee, OK and one brother, Cary Waddle of Okmulgee, one son, Larry W. Hamon and wife, Vivian of Okmulgee and two daughters, Terry Hamon Baker and husband, Les of Sapulpa and Kathy Hamon Salyer of Nuyaka, whose beloved husband, Loyd Salyer also has gone to be with our Lord. Ten grandchildren, Shane and Shaun Hamon, Kim Salyer Beattie, Timmy Salyer, Tammy Salyer Jones, Chris Gentry, Michelle Coker, Joshua Bennett, Sam and Sara Bynum and 16 great grandchildren, McKinley Hamon, Kaylee and Kyle Coker, Bailee Bennett, Haven Thomas, Kendrick Simmons, Stephanie Spradling, Alison and Halia Salyer, Katy and Jayme Jones, Rylee Gentry, Athena Brown, Draven Arrington, Aubrey and Shane Hamon also a special family member, Gwen Collins-Hamrick.
Family was the most important thing to Louise in this life, along with her dogs and hummingbirds. Her gentle spirit and welcoming smile brought lifetime memories to those she leaves behind, but only for a moment.
At the request of Louise, Graveside Services will be held at the Okmulgee Cemetery on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jarrod Kendall of the Nuyaka Baptist Church will officiate the interment.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Shane Hamon, Shaun Hamon, Tim Salyer, Chris Gentry, Henry Coker, Kyle Coker, Les Baker, Joshua Bennett and Don Beck.
The family has requested Memorials be made to the St. Jude Foundation, and would like to give a special thank you to Traditions Hospice, Crystal Jacobs and Heather Dickie and Joy, for their special care.
Family will greet friends on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service 220 S. Alabama Okmulgee, OK 918-756-3300.
