Louis Phillip Rioux Jr. passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the age of 60 years.
Louis was born on April 20, 1962, in Providence, RI to Phyllis Rioux-Moore. He met the love of his life, Regina Castillo September 11, 1986, where they spent thirty-five loving years side by side together through life's difficulties and everything it threw at them.
Louis was a hard-working employee no matter how small or large the job was. He spent the last 20 years working with Norris/UPCO in the oil and gas industry. He will be remembered for many different things such as being a diehard Patriots fan, playing a game of poker that sometimes turned into overnight tournaments, playing pranks, cracking a joke, or helping someone that needed a hand in any way. Louis was about celebrating life, and the way he did that was by making sure to have fun every chance he had. He played in company softball leagues and bowling tournaments. Louis enjoyed spending as much free time as he could with his large loud family. Whether it was fishing trips with his kids/grandkids, family vacations, trips to the lake to wipe out anyone brave enough to get on the tube he was dragging behind his boat or sneaking off to with whoever was awake to the flea market or to get ice cream. His favorite places to be were at the lake on his boat, any carnival or fair where he could get a turkey leg and win all the giant prizes or even watch his kids/grandkids play, and having a line cast out fishing. Louis was a sight to see or hide from during Halloween his favorite time of the year. He always made sure to have the spookiest candy bowls and masks to scare anyone who dared cross his path, even if it was not Halloween. He would pop out of any corner or hiding spot he could find any time of the year just to get the chance to spook you. However, he would be the first one to pull over during a winter storm to help dig your car out of a ditch or help a stray animal by throwing them some of his food.
He is preceded in death by his mother Phyllis and siblings Donald and Joseph by his side.
Louis leaves many loving memories with his family, wife Regina; son Arthur and daughter-in-law Erica; daughter Angelina and son-in-law Louis; son JohnneRay; son Louis and daughter-in-law Elexus; son Eric and daughter-in-law Shealeen; daughter Kasandra; daughter Brittany; grandchildren Christopher, Destiny, Reuben, Trinity, Majesty, Aiden, Kinzley, Bella, Josiah, Louis, Elijah, and Lexi-Lou; great-grandson Enzo; siblings Patricia, Janet, Pam, Linda, Rene, Robin, Penny, and Rebecca; and fur babies Milo, Trixie, Elsa, Oreo, Sugar, and Manny; along with many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
