In Loving Memory: Loretta Rae Lockamy

September 22, 1932 - August 17, 2023

Loretta Rae Lockamy, a remarkable soul who touched the lives of many, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, at the age of 90. Born on September 22, 1932, in Fortuna, California, she entered the world as the beloved daughter of Raymond and Mildred Totten. Loretta's life was a journey filled with love, joy, and cherished memories.

Growing up in the picturesque landscapes of Garberville, California, Loretta encountered the first love of her life, Zene Watts, with whom she shared cherished moments and two children, Randy & Karen Watts. After his passing, life led her to Oklahoma, where she embarked on a career at Security National Bank. Through years of dedication and hard work, Loretta climbed the ladder from Teller to become an integral part of the institution. It was at this very bank that fate intervened, introducing her to the second love of her life, Frank Lockamy. Following the urgings of a persistent friend, Frank found his way to Loretta, and their love story blossomed. They exchanged vows on May 2, 1992, at the Sapulpa Nazarene Church, solidifying a bond that would span three decades.

Loretta's life was woven with love and devotion to her family. Her grandkids affectionately knew her as Grandma Biff and Grandma Loretta, a testament to the warmth and care she offered. Among her various interests, Loretta found immense joy in sewing, reading, and sharing melodies with Frank. Together, they created harmonies that resonated through their lives.

Loretta's memory is carried on by her loving husband of 31 years, Frank Lockamy. She is also survived by her son Randy Watts, step-daughter Tina (Lockamy) Slaven, and husband Sterling, her grandchildren, Katrina (Hucks) Adamczyk and husband Sebastian, Savannah (Slaven) Fowler and husband Zach, and Sawyer, Sumner and Sadie Slaven, and her great-grandchildren, Nolan, Gavin, and Seren Fowler, and her sister Norma Sumner of Santa Rosa, California.

Loretta is preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Hucks and her brother, Ernie Totten, whose memory remains intertwined with her own.
