Loretta Kay Parker

Loretta 'Lori' Kay Parker passed away in her home with her husband David, son Nathan, and Mother-in-law Janice, by her side on Friday, November 19, 2021, at the age of 65 years. Her twelve year battle with brain cancer ultimately sent her home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Lori was born on August 5,1956 in Marshalltown, IA to her parents, Lyle and Thelma (Reinig) Lage. During her childhood, Lori resided on her parent's farm in IA and participated in many school activities, including basketball, tennis, and she enjoyed singing with her mother at church. She is survived by her two sisters, Ladotta Nevarez and LeAnna Darnold and their children and grandchildren. Lori met the love of her life, David Parker, and spent the last 41 years in love and devotion to one another. They first met in Elk City, OK. Soon to follow, they were married on August 17th, 1980 in Lincoln, IA at the Salem Church. They enjoyed four years of marriage before welcoming their first son, Nathan Lyle, into their lives in January of 1984. Not too long after, Brenten David was born in October of 1986. Nathan and his wife Katie have blessed David and Lori with two granddaughters, Joslyn, 11 years and Elliana, 8 years old. Brenten and his wife Megan have blessed David and Lori with three granddaughters, Eliana, 10 years, Eden, 3 years and Josephine, 2 years old. Lori was a woman of many talents and passions. She worked all her life in a variety of businesses including financial firms, food industries, and customer service. Lori loved to cook and bake to her heart's content. She was always finding ways to love others with food and care. She sewed, enjoyed photography and scrapbooking, reading, playing piano, singing, playing and directing the handbell choir at church, participated in community service and Bible studies, and so much more.

She is preceded in death by father, Lyle Lage and mother, Thelma Lage.

Lori leaves many loving memories with her family, including her husband, sisters, sons, daughter in laws, granddaughters, her mother-in-law Janice Parker; along with many other loving relatives and a host of friends from Nebraska, Iowa, and Oklahoma

The visitation for Lori will be held from 6-8pm at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Home at 5757 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK 74145. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM November 23, 2021 at RiverOaks Presbyterian Church, 5150 E 101st Street,Tulsa, Oklahoma with Pastor Ricky Jones officiating.

Cards and flowers can be mailed or sent to David Parker at 18001 E 51st Street South Apt 1103, Tulsa, OK 74134. Monetary gifts can be made in Lori's honor to Riveroaks Presbyterian Church to their Benevolence Fund. The church address is 5150 East 101st Street, Tulsa, OK 74137.
