Loreley Carol Russ

Loreley C Russ, age73, of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Loreley was born December 16, 1948, in Albany, New York.

She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, until graduating high school. At that time she moved to Houston Texas. Loreley worked briefly as a bookkeeper before Stephen F. Austin State University. There she graduated and obtained a Master's Degree in Counseling. She would put her degree to goo use, working as a high school counselor and teacher at several towns and cities in Texas, but primarily served the Native American population in the area.

Loreley greatly enjoyed western horseback riding, and even competed in it in her younger years. She deeply loved dogs, and especially her Schnauzers. Loreley not only cared for and trained her own dogs, but was a member of the Tulsa Dog Training Center.
In the mid 2000's, while she working at the Oak Tree Inn, in McAlester, Oklahoma, she met the future love of her life, Mike Tolbert. When they met an instant friendship was formed that would later blossom into true love. They were together until her passing.

Loreley knew everyone and had many friends and family that will dearly miss her smile, laugh, and love.
