Lois Lynn Barnett

Lois Lynn Kirk Barnett was born July 17, 1921 to White Kirk and Wilma Jemison Kirk in Peru, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Osceola High School in Iowa and taught rural school for two years before she married Ralph Barnett on January 1, 1941 in Leon, Iowa. At the time of his death in June of 2015, they had been married for 74 years. They lived in Iowa until 1958 when they moved to Arkansas. Due to health reasons they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2001 to be closer to family. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Lois is survived by son: Stanley and his wife Lois of Tulsa, Diane Pearson of Bixby, three grandchildren; Lesa Barnett of Tulsa, Carla Weber and husband Chris of Springfield Missouri, Jared Hurst of Glenpool and five great grandchildren: Julia and Sydney Weber of Springfield Missouri, Katelyn, Jason, Justin Hurst of Glenpool, Oklahoma. Many friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, infant daughter Penelope, a son Stuart, killed in Vietnam, her parents, a sister, Doris Griffin, Brother, Carol Kirk, and son in-law, Jim Pearson.
