Lois Loreen Johnson, a longtime resident of Okmulgee, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the age of 92. She was born November 24, 1922 to Luther and Ona (Drain) Bruner in Ozark, Arkansas. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Okmulgee and the VFW Post 1189 Ladies Auxiliary in Okmulgee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Ona Bruner; first husband, Arthur Edwin Schrameck; second husband, J.W. Johnson; sister, Ella Evans; brothers, Eldon, Billy Wayne and Clarence Bruner; children, Darlene McVay, Larry Schrameck, Eddie Schrameck and Ross Schrameck and grandsons, Tommy McCoy, Anthony Schrameck and Mitchell Northrup.
Survivors include her two children, Edy McCoy of Bellville, Texas and Sue Unruh of Okmulgee; one brother, Harvey Bruner of Oklahoma City; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Okmulgee with Pastor Richard Manning officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service 220 S. Alabama Ave, Okmulgee.
