Lisa Elaine Warden

April 28, 1960 — September 10, 2024

Lisa Elaine Warden, born April 28, 1960, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Glen and Carole Nosekabel, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 64. Lisa was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched countless lives with her kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to her faith. She was excellent in the kitchen, a homecoming queen, a talented musician, and a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her.

She is survived by her three beloved sons: Bryan Dean Warden (born 1986), Christopher Glen Warden (born 1988), and Zachary Charles Warden (born 1990), all residing in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her cherished grandson, Noah Warden, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Lisa is also survived by her brother, Bret Nosekabel (Koleen), and her sister-in-law, Dora. Preceding her in death were her husband of 41 years, Dennis Dean Warden; her brother, Steve Nosekabel; and her parents.

Lisa married the love of her life, Dennis, on July 31, 1982, in Liberal, Kansas. Together, they built a beautiful life in Oklahoma, where they became the proud owners and operators of D&L Donuts in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Known for their warm smiles and dedicated service to their community, Lisa and Dennis created a welcoming place for all who came through their doors.

For over 30 years, Lisa worked tirelessly at her church, sharing her faith through her music. A gifted organist and pianist, she played regularly at services, bringing comfort and joy to many. Her dedication to her church family was evident in all she did, whether through her music or her compassionate presence. Lisa's involvement in her church extended beyond her music as she served and supported those in need with an open heart.

She was also an avid outdoorswoman who loved fishing, camping, and spending time at the lake. The peace and tranquility she found in nature were a testament to her love of life’s simple pleasures. Lisa's joy in these moments was often shared with her family, especially her grandson, who was the light of her life. She adored taking him on adventures to places like Incredible Pizza and splash pads, always creating cherished memories. Lisa had a deep passion for cooking and baking, weaving love into every dish she crafted. Her sugar cookies, in particular, were delightful—delicate, sweet morsels that melted in your mouth and left a lingering warmth in the heart. Everyone who tasted them couldn't help but fall in love with her creations.

Lisa was not only a caring and nurturing mother but also a loving grandmother who found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandson. Her heart overflowed with love for him, and she took immense pride in watching him grow. In high school, Lisa was a cheerleader, radiating the same beauty and grace that would characterize her throughout her life. She had an infectious smile, a friendly and helpful nature, and a wonderful sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around her. Lisa loved playing Bunco with her friends, and she approached life with a sense of fun and generosity that made her unforgettable.

Her passing leaves a deep void, but her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Lisa Elaine Warden will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for her gentle spirit, loving heart, and the many lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
