Linda S. Shanks

Linda (Smith) Shanks, age 65, passed from this life, December 5, 2016 surrounded by family and friends.

Linda was born on August 3, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Marjorie (Harris) Smith and Clinton B. Smith. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1969 and married Sam Shanks in 1971. Together they had two children, Samuel Shanks and Michelle (Shanks) Fuller. Linda retired in 2011 as a receptionist for Key Personnel.

She is preceded in death by her parents Marjorie and Clinton Smith; her aunt, Reba Schauffner, cousin, Carolyn Emberson and second cousin, Jacob Gable.

Linda is survived by her husband, Sam Shanks and their children, Michelle Fuller of Glenpool, Oklahoma and Samuel Shanks and wife, Allysa, of Glenpool, Oklahoma. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Blaize Fuller and Pazleigh Shanks; and many other loving friends and family.

Visitation is planned for Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Service, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, OK 74033.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 52 E 145th St S, Glenpool, OK 74033. Pastor Jason Yarborough will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Reed, Tyler Horine, Josh Thrower, Troy Radford, Jeremy Aston, Lance Calmus, Paul Hackler and Kyler McMurrian. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Hugart and the Glenpool Fire Department.
