Linda Kay Gruver-Johnson

Linda Kay (Gruver) Johnson age 58 passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in Jenks, Oklahoma with her loving family members by her side. Linda was born October 24, 1952 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Wallace R. Gruver and Genevieve (Bell) Gruver. She attended Jenks schools through-out her life and graduated with the Class of 1972 from Jenks High School. Linda was a life-time member of Bethel Baptist Church located in Jenks. She grew up singing in the choir. Linda was an avid photographer; she once sold Avon products; she collected Barbie dolls along with doing different types of arts and crafts. Linda liked to cook and spend time with her family members; especially her two grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her father: Wallace R. Gruver, Jr. who passed away January 7, 2006; her brother: Tommy Ray Gruver and her grandparents: Fred and Madge Bell. She is survived by her two sons: Michael Lee Johnson of Jenks, Oklahoma; James Allen Johnson and his wife: Ashley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her two precious grandchildren: Kaiden Johnson and Lilli Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her mother: Genevieve Gruver of Jenks, Oklahoma; her brother: Gary Paul Gruver and his wife, Brenda Lee of Glenpool, Oklahoma along with other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family members, friends and acquaintances. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service, Glenpool, Oklahoma. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011 at Jenks Bethel Baptist Church. Reverend Troy Hayes will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
