It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Linda Layman Hull, who left this world on December 15, 2024, in her hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born Linda Sue Moody on April 16, 1944, to her parents, Harold and Helen Moody. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Harold Moody, Jr., her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oren Hull and Mary Clark Hull, her brother-in-law, David Hull, her beloved son, Darren Layman, and infant great-grandchildren, James and Jesse Layman.
Linda shared a beautiful and fulfilling life with her devoted husband, Don, cherishing 40 joyful and memorable years together. Her family gave her great pride and joy. She is survived by her husband, her son, Don Hull, Jr. (Melissa), and grandchildren, Caleb, Luke, and Hannah Hull. She has long loved being a grandmother to Colton Layman (Hannah) and Ashley Corley (Clinton). Her legacy of love extends to her great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Josie, Sutton, Ava, Easton, and MillieMae Layman, and Cade and Carter Corley. Linda also leaves behind daughter-in-law, Michelle Layman, sister, MaryAnn Koerner (Roy), beloved nephews, Kurt (Debbie), Kevin, and Kyle Koerner (Heather), and their families, as well as sister-in-law, Amy Hull, nephew, Justin Hull, and so many more dear friends and extended family.
After graduating from Will Rogers High School, Linda attended Southwest Missouri State University before returning to Tulsa. Linda was a trailblazer, a visionary, and a pioneer. In 1971, she founded the Linda Layman Agency, a business born of her passion for fashion and talent. What began as a small venture quickly grew to meet increasing demand, expanding into the fashion, print, television, and film industries. Linda’s influence was immeasurable, changing the lives of countless individuals and molding the futures of so many women and men. She wasn’t just a businesswoman; she was a mentor, a counselor, and a guiding light to her models. Her beauty, talent, and dedication left an indelible mark on everyone she touched.
While her professional accomplishments were extraordinary, Linda’s true devotion was to her faith and her family. She found joy in her beautiful home, decorating and gardening with an unmatched sense of style and grace, always ready to show hospitality to friends and family in her home. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, entertaining them, attending and encouraging them in their sports and activities, playing with them, and even going along with the occasional prank. Whether it was storytelling, listening, or laughing, Linda gave her time and love selflessly to her family.
Linda was the ultimate matriarch, a woman who managed her household to perfection and devoting herself to her faith and her community. She found spiritual fulfillment in her Bible study group at Kirk of the Hills every Monday, where she shared her wisdom and love for the Lord. Linda had a servant’s heart—always ready to help, give, and do for others, and enjoyed greeting visitors at the church. Her ability to guide others with love and care was a reflection of her dedication to those she held dear.
Linda was a woman of elegance, strength, and compassion. She was a beacon of light, a helper to all, and the foundation of her family. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, tenacity, and the unwavering love she gave to so many.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and medical staff at St. Francis Hospital for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s honor to Kirk of the Hills, https://thekirk.com or the Tulsa Boys Home www.tulsaboyshome.org or The Bill Shaffer Foundation www.billshafferfoundation.org .
