Linda Jane Hughes

Linda Jane Hughes, born on March 6, 1942, in Plainview, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024, in Porter, Oklahoma. She was the beloved daughter of Walter C. Harris and Myrtle McDonel Harris.

Linda dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. Her hands were never idle, always busy crocheting baby items and creating beautiful blankets, gifts that warmed the hearts of many. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved, always staying connected with her family and friends. Linda cherished her people and found immense joy in the company of her loved ones.

She shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband, Billy Bob Hughes, creating a lifetime of memories filled with love and laughter. Together, they enjoyed simple pleasures. Some of Linda's simple pleasures included hot fudge sundaes and a fountain Pepsi, which always brought a smile to her face.

Linda is survived by her devoted daughter, Bobbi Jo Hayes, and her partner Newley Bratt. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Grace Hayes, Marshall Hayes, Sean Hayes, Skyler Bratt, and Teagan Bratt, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Linda is also survived by LaRay Brown, his wife Tracey and their daughter Maddison Malick.

She also leaves behind her siblings, Carol Ann Gadbois and her husband Bob, and Joe Lynn Harris and his wife Toni. Linda was a cherished aunt to Russell and Jeff Gadbois, and Stacy Edwards, along with their families, all of whom she held dear to her heart.

Linda Jane Hughes will be remembered for her loving spirit, her creative talents, and her unwavering dedication to her family. Her legacy of love, warmth, and the simple joys she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
