Linda Colleen Patterson

January 22, 1950 — November 7, 2017

Linda Colleen Patterson gave up her fight with cancer on November 7, 2017 at the age of 67. She lived in Sapulpa for 47 years.

Linda was born on January 22, 1950 in Columbus, Kansas to Mary Elizabeth (Moore) Gensicke and Christopher Elisha Gensicke.

Linda married Bill Patterson on June 14, 1968 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary , but was willing to give that up because of what was in store for her.

Linda was a lifelong homemaker, as many know it is a 24 hour job. She loved her family. They were all very important to her, even her dog, Dooley. Of all the things Linda may have accomplished, being a lifelong Christian was her greatest accomplishment. That is something she will take to heaven.

Linda was a lifetime member of Church of Christ, Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She was also a supporter for 38 years to the Disabled American Veterans Organization.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary (Moore) Gensicke and Christopher Gensicke.

Survivors include two sisters, Brenda Waugh and Jennie Evans; two brothers, Dale Gensicke and Gale Gensicke; children, Chris Patterson and his wife, Tracy, Kelli Walter and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Cole Patterson, Kennedy Patterson and Fisher Patterson; and the one who loved her and will always love her, her husband Bill of 49 years. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

With her life she might have set the bar too high, but we have a goal to strive for.

We love you honey, mom, and nana.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
