Leveda Ree Brownfield, 85, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Highland Park. She was born August 7, 1927 to William Elvis and Anna Edith (Gregory) Petree in Bristow, Oklahoma. Leveda worked for Ohsee Meat Company and Adams hotel, but her main job was as a stay at home mom. She was a Cub Scout den mother and member of the PTA. She loved to crochet and knit. She was a wonderful cook. She and Oscar loved to camp at Ft. Gibson dam and have a yearly fish fry. She cherished her time with her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Leveda was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Oscar Brownfield, her parents, Edith Petree and Willie Petree, and one sister Georgie Croup. She is survived by three sons, William Brownfield of Okmulgee, Donald Brownfield and wife Dale, of Okemah, and Michael Brownfield and wife Robyn of Seattle, Washington, two sisters Maggie Hancock of Tulsa and Deanna Ewton of Broken Arrow, eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces. Services are will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Okmulgee with Pastor Tom Tidwell officating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Daniel Ryan Albers, William Wesley Brownfield, Michael Bryan Swim, Donald Dwayne Brownfield and Michael Gordon Brownfield. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
