Lester Leroy Vogt III, known to all as Lee, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2014. He was born on October 25, 1979 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When he was very young, his family moved to Glenpool, Oklahoma. In elementary school, Lee was active in Gifted & Talented and Little League, and in middle and high school, Lee was a member of the Glenpool marching band and jazz band, playing the clarinet and saxophone. He graduated from Glenpool High School with the Class of 1998. He loved loud metal music, the 49ers and the A’s and spending time with his family and friends. Lee accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was baptized in His name on August 14, 2013. He was a member of the Praise and Worship team for theCHURCH at Midtown in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and participated in community groups where he made several close friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Lester Vogt, Jr. and Bonnie Vogt; sisters and brothers, Nancy and Kristopher Mendoza, Matissa and Justin Cameron and Tony and Sarah Silvis; nieces and nephew, Jessica, Samantha, Carrie, Caitlyn, Ainsley, Olivia, Aidan and Allyson; great-nephew, Arlo; grandmother, Willie Baker; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends whom he considered part of his own family. Lee cherished his pretty mutt, Shug, and he will be dearly missed by his “beast.”
