Leota E. Earnest

Leota E. Earnest, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the age of 92 in Okemah, Oklahoma. She was born on April 10, 1922 to Jobe William Castor and Ollie Mae (Ross) Castor in Bristow, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Okmulgee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russel Earnest; parents, Jobe William and Ollie Mae Castor; two brothers, Walter and Charles Castor and two sisters, Villa Mae Gaskill and Genevee Welch. Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Dr. Dennis Taylor and Brother Jack Vance officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory in Okmulgee.
