Lena Loyale Fosdyke

Lena Loyale Fosdyke, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the age of 92. She was born November 19, 1919 to Hoarse L. Jones and Essie L. (Woods) Jones in Lenna, Oklahoma. She was raised in Preston and graduated from Preston High School. On December 12, 1941, she married Joseph Earl Fosdyke, Jr. in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Okmulgee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Earl Fosdyke, Jr.; parents, Horace and Essie Jones and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include her two children, Clyde E. Fosdyke and wife, Lana of Oklahoma City and Janet Sue Eichling of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Amber Fosdyke-Jackson, Kevin Lee Eichling and Kelli Lee Eichling; nine great grandchildren, Shepard Fosdyke-Jackson, Shenandoah Fosdyke-Jackson, Kristopher Eichling, Michael Eichling, Matthew Eichling, Kera Eichling, Thomas Eichling, Jerard and Julian Davidson; numerous other relatives. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Charlie Green and Russell Jones officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
