Larry Solon Colston Larry Solon Colston, a resident of Okemah, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the age of 56. He was born July 18, 1954 to Waddie and Bonnie (Lithumkum) Colston in Vian, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Colston; sister, Mildred Colston, brother, Charles Colston and sister, Imogene Colston. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Nancy Colston of the home; father, Waddie Colston of Stillwell, Ok; six children, Earnest McFarland and wife, Jennifer of Hartshorne, Ok, Felicia Renzelman and husband, Tim of Yukon, Thomas McFarland and wife, Shannon of Stillwell, Susan Fowler of Midwest City, Robbie McFarland and wife, Terra of Hartshorne and Timothy Fowler and wife, Julie of Yukon; two sisters, Tish Williams of Broken Arrow and Carolyn Wright of Yale; five brothers, Watie Colston, Jr. of Stillwell, Boe Colston of Kellyville, Dosson Colston of Corn, Ok, Jim Colston of Stillwell and Raymond Colston of Holdenville and thirteen grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Burial will follow the service at 2:00 p.m. at the Dwight Mission Cemetery in Marble City, Oklahoma under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Earnest McFarland, Thomas McFarland, Robbie McFarland, Timothy Fowler, Jim Colston and Dawson Colston. Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 1189 of Okmulgee.
