Larry Smith

Larry J. Smith of Okmulgee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, June 10, 2022 at St. Francis hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 66. He was born May 28, 1956 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. His family moved to Dallas where he grew up and attended school. He spent his career winding electric motors, eventually moving to Okmulgee to work at The Pump and Motor Works company. He was preceded in death by his Father Keith O. Smith, Mother Emogene (Yount) Smith, one sister Kathy, two brothers Raymond and Rick, and one nephew Kirk Mauthe. He is survived by one daughter Lisa Beckman of Dallas and one granddaughter. Nephews Adam Smith of Okmulgee, Steven Smith and lifelong partner Brenda Smith of Austin, Todd Mauthe of Dallas, and one niece Katie Pantel of Victoria, Texas, and friend Brenda Smith.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Schaudt's Okmulgee Funeral Service Chapel, 220 S. Alabama Ave, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, with Brandon McCombs officiating.
