Larry Nev Northcross, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the age of 68. He was born June 7, 1943 to Hardy and Maudie (Pelteir) Northcross in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Larry enjoyed playing the guitar and playing for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Hardy and Terry Northcross and Larry’s wife, Helen Gayle (Denny) Northcross. Survivors include his two sons, Dennis Northcross and wife, LaDonna of Twin Hills and Terry Northcross of Shawnee; four daughters, Janet Spurgeon and husband, Russell of Morris, Joann Hiseley and husband, Greg of Vinita, Penny Northcross of Twin Hills and LaSandera Northcross of Kinta; two brothers, Phillip Northcross and wife Kathy Jo of Okmulgee and Joseph Northcross and wife, Linda of Henryetta; five sisters, Gay Daniels and husband, Luke of Okmulgee, Lynn King and husband, Johnny of Tahlequah, Cathy Johns and husband, Ronnie of Okmulgee, Lydia Johnson and husband, Larry of Chandler and Lela Wakely and husband, Randall of Chandler; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Gibson Cemetery in Haskell with Pastor Ogdon officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Dennis Northcross, Justin Northcross, Anthoney Starkey, Joseph Hiseley, Benjamin Hiseley and Jimmy Daniels. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Northcross, Tommy Lewis and Larry Northcross.
