Larry Leroy Goldesberry, Sr. passed away with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at the age of 69 years. Larry was born on June 4, 1951, in Hominy, OK to his parents, Raymond and Margie (Justus) Goldesberry. Larry proudly served our country in the Army as a radio operator during the Vietnam War, and after the war, he served in Germany. Larry came home and went to college to become an X-Ray Technician. He worked his entire 34-year career at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. He enjoyed playing golf and softball through most of his life. Larry was also highly active in his church. His passion was for young people. He was always involved in the youth group of his church. He taught children’s church for 20 years, and he volunteered for VBS every year. He led many young people to Jesus including all his children. His passion later in life became his grandchildren. He loved sharing Jesus with them and worked with them to memorize Scripture.
He is preceded in death by Raymond Goldesberry (Father), Margie Goldesberry (Mother), Jimmy Goldesberry (Brother), Charles Goldesberry (Brother).
Larry is survived by a large, loving family. Son, Larry Goldesberry, Jr. and wife Darci of Tulsa, son Jeremy Goldesberry and wife Morgan of Sand Springs, daughter Kari Jamison and husband Joseph of Sapulpa, daughter Chelsea Davis and husband Joey of Sand Springs, Grandchildren: Destiny, Gavin, Dayton, Jace, Katherine, Haylee, Sullivan, Lincoln, & Ella; brother Billy Goldesberry, sister Barbara Francis & husband George, many nieces & nephews; along with many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial Services will be 10:00AM, Monday, September 21, 2020, at West Tulsa Freewill Baptist Church, 930 W 23rd Place, Tulsa, OK 74107.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the West Tulsa Free Will Baptist Church H20 Youth Fund.
