Larry Joel Penn

Larry Joel Penn age 68 passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Larry was born February 19, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri to Maurice and Bernice Penn. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School. He served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. Larry worked as a Satellite TV Installer. He enjoyed wood working and made birdhouses and jewelry boxes. He also liked to tinker with electronics. Larry raised chickens, goats and horses. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Bernice Penn. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee (Rankin) Penn of Adair, his step-son: Aaron Bacon and his wife, Casey of Owasso, his step-daughters: Jennifer Ficher of Denton, Texas, Hailey Millikan and her husband, Brandon of Beggs, Oklahoma, Brianna Bacon of Euless, Texas, his nine grandchildren along with other family members and friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Chaplain Forrest Kirk will officiate. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
