Larry Hopper

Larry Edward Hopper, age 75, passed away on April 22, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 16, 1948, in Joplin, MO, to Clarence and Etta (Martin) Hopper. A service to honor his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service, located at 5757 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Larry met his beloved wife, Donna, while she worked at Montgomery Ward, they were introduced in 1977 by her good friend, Etta, who also happened to be Larry's mother. Their connection was immediate, leading to marriage on November 24, 1979, at Dry Valley Methodist Church in Wentworth, MO. Larry was a loving and compassionate man with sparkling blue eyes that instantly made people feel welcome. He valued deep relationships, both in his personal life and in business. He was a leader, mentor, and friend to many throughout his career. Larry was the kind of man who took a chance on people and cherished opportunities to see them grow.

As a devoted father and grandfather, Larry was affectionately known as "Papa" to his grandsons and shared a special bond with his daughter Jennifer and her husband David. Their home was a place of warmth and welcome, with a beautifully landscaped backyard that was enjoyed by all. Larry also had a passion for hot rods and custom cars. He enjoyed the opportunity to share his love for classic cars with friends and family at car shows across the Midwest.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Donna; daughter Jennifer Lowe and her husband David; grandsons Logan Lowe and Brayden Lowe; siblings Gary and Annette Hopper, David and Sandy Hopper, Monta and Tom Heidlage, Tom and LeAnn Reynolds, Ronda and Kevin Hatfield, Dennis Reynolds, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
