Larry Gordon Alexander

Larry Gordon Alexander age 85, passed away at his Tulsa residence on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 with his family by his side.

Larry was born June 23, 1930 in Topeka, Kansas to Weedon Wallace Alexander and Bertha Maye (Taylor) Alexander. He graduated from Wichita High School with the Class of 1948. He attended William & Mary College in Williamsburg, Virginia. Larry enlisted into the United States Marine Corps on January 14, 1948. He served in Korea from September 1952 to August 1953. He was Honorably Discharged on January 14, 1954. Larry continued his education and graduated from Tulsa University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree and a Masters Degree plus 60. He married Barbara J. Deeds on August 6, 1987. For thirty years Larry worked in the education field as a principal through-out the Tulsa area school system.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Weedon and Bertha Alexander and son, Timothy G. Alexander.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Alexander of Tulsa, his son, Christopher L. Alexander and wife, Jill, five grandchildren, Michael, Amethyst, Vincent, Ezra, Amber, seven great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Private family services are planned.
