Lagayla Lynn Wood

La Gayla Lynn Wood age 48 passed away Monday, June 16, 2008 in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
La Gayla was born November 22, 1959 in Amarillo, Texas to Joe Newman and Thelma (Capehart) Newman.
In 1977 she graduated from Wichita Falls High School in Wichita Falls, Texas. She married Gary Dale Wood in Wichita Falls on June 15, 1985. La Gayla worked for Wal-Mart as a customer service supervisor. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Jenks. In her spare time she liked to watch television, spend time with her family along with her dog, Ginger and was an avid reader of Steven King novels.
La Gayla was preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Thelma Newman.
She is survived by her husband: Gary Wood; her daughter: Jessica Lynn Wood of Tulsa, Oklahoma and son: Parker Dale Wood of Glenpool, Oklahoma; her three sisters: Jo Elaine Weeks and her husband, David of Midland, Texas; La Donna Smith and her husband, John of Wichita Falls, Texas and Elwana Newman of Wichita Falls, Texas; nephews: John Smith, Jr. and his wife, Sara of Fort Worth, Texas; Justin Smith of Wichita Falls, Texas; Patrick Weeks of Midland, Texas; Tyler Weeks of Midland, Texas; in-laws: William D. and Norma L. Wood, Sr. of Pittsburg, Oklahoma; nieces: Julie and Misty Wood along with her close girl friends and acquaintances.
Pallbearers are: Mike Morgan, Albert Morgan, Mike Cain, John Smith, Sr., Justin Smith and John Smith, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2008 at Southside Baptist Church, 13032 S. Elgin Avenue, Jenks, Oklahoma. Reverend Bob DeBolt will officiate.
