Kenneth Tiger

Kenneth “Jag” Tiger, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 8 days. He was born on Monday, November 8, 1943 to Coody and Lela (McNac) Tiger in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Gracie Tiger. Survivors include his wife, Edna Tiger of the home; six sons, Darryl Tiger, Virgil Sanders, Patrick Berryhill, T.J. Sanders, Nick Sanders and Bryan Sanders; six daughters, Brenda Holuby, Angela Lopez, Pamela Culley, Melinda Sanders, Sammi Sanders and Polly Sanders; three brothers, Matthew Tiger, George Tiger and Martin Tiger; forty-one grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Wake Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Tiger Family Home 900 N. Griffin in Okmulgee. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Salem Baptist Church with Reverend Amon Harjo officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Yardeka Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Justin Stallings, Patrick Berryhill, Yancy Culley, Eric Starr, Terry Tiger, Chebon Tiger, Chris Tiger and Zac Tiger. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carney Roberts, Ed Moore, Jr., Perry Beaver, Buster Bear, Jr., Buddy Beaver and James Starr. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Shurden Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
