Kenneth Rex Edwards age 60 passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 at his residence in Glenpool, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family members.
Ken was born January 20, 1948 in Oklahoma City to Virgil R. Edwards and Mahala (Collier) Edwards.
He graduated from Yukon High School in 1966. He received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in 1970 from Oklahoma State University. Ken moved to the Tulsa area in 1972.
On September 20, 1980 in Bixby, Oklahoma he married Glenda Joyce (Watkins) Edwards. Ken worked for Bud's Food Stores for twenty years and the past five years, Ken worked as the Assistant Produce Manager for Reasors. Ken was a member of Jenks United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing tennis, doing yard work and traveling to Las Vegas. He was an avid OSU fan.
Ken was preceded in death by his father: Virgil R. Edwards. He is survived by his mother: Mahala Edwards of Yukon, Oklahoma; his wife: Glenda Edwards of Glenpool; his daughter: Teresa Green and her husband, Mark of Houston, Texas; his son: Mike Driscoll of Glenpool; his sister: Janell Jenkins and her husband, Gary of Western Grove, Arkansas; four sisters in-law: Loueen Morgan and her husband, Ed of Tulsa; Donna Nasworthy and her husband, Wade of Bixby; Cleeta Coffman and her husband, Johnny of Glenpool; Maxine Watkins of Bixby along with five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service. Memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5th at University Village, 8555 South Lewis,Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chaplin Merle Newton will officiate.
