Kenneth Derrell Wilson
Kenneth Derrell Wilson, 71, of Mounds, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Kenny was born on August 22, 1946, as the third of eight children, to Roy and Ruby Wilson of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Before retiring, Kenny worked as an Asbestos Removal Foreman and in the newspaper business at both, the Tulsa World and the Houston Chronicle.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his three sisters, a brother, an only daughter, his best friend of fifty years - Tommy Henderson, and his girlfriend of two years - Nancy McNally.
Known for his huge smile, Kenny loved being with his friends at the Brook Alley and never met a stranger... everyone knew his name! He loved road trips with family and friends, had a very generous and giving heart and will be missed by all. As the longest standing patron and "silent stockholder" of the Brook Alley, a celebration of his life will be held there on Saturday, September 30th at 4726 South Peoria. Please join us for an early afternoon potluck to share your favorite "Kenny" story, stay as long as you'd like and raise a final toast!
Family and close friends will gather the following Saturday, October 7th, at his sister's residence.
