Kenneth Andrew Burkett

Kenneth Andrew Burkett age 93 passed away from this life on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Glennwood Healthcare Center in Glenpool, Oklahoma.

Kenneth was born January 22, 1922 in Hyndman, Pennsylvania to William and Violet Burkett. In 1979 he opened Ken's Daylight Donut Shop in Glenpool, Oklahoma. He was the kindest and most generous man you would ever want to meet. He never met a stranger and loved everyone. Kenneth had a wonderful sense of humor, an amazing ability to memorize the bible, poems and he loved to bake. Most of all, Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved dearly. He was a long time member of Beggs Assembly of God Church.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents William and Violet Burkett, his seven brothers and sisters, his wives, Alma, JoAnn and Vera, his wife of forty-four years who passed away May 16, 2015.

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth and his wife Vicki, Brian and his wife Mildred, his daughters, Paulette and her husband Jim, Diana and her husband, Roger, Mary Ann and her husband, Terry, Vera's children, Francis and husband Art, Melba and husband, James, Jimmy and wife Patty, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren other family members and a host of friends and acquaintances.

Visitation is 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Assembly of God Church, 400 East Main Street, Beggs, Oklahoma 74421. Pastor Robert Yandell will officiate.
