Keith Douglas Jones, age 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2024. He was born on March 31, 1956, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to his parents, Jake Jones and Elsie Jones-Lewis.
Keith met the love of his life, Diana Hughes, and the two were married on September 1975 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. They shared a lifetime of love and memories. Together, they built a family and a life filled with laughter, adventure, and countless cherished moments.
Keith was a man of many hobbies, including playing the guitar, tinkering with his beloved 1941 Ford and El Camino, and spending time outdoors. He found joy in fishing, working on lawnmowers, and hunting for treasures at garage sales, anything that kept him active and engaged. After a dedicated career, he retired from Downing Manufacturing on April 1, 2021. Keith also loved taking family trips to cabins in Broken Bow and spending time with family.
Among all of his passions, one of Keith's greatest joys was his granddaughter, Kaylee. They shared a special bond, often taking drives in his El Camino, doing burnouts, and listening to classic 1950s music, creating memories that will be forever cherished. Keith also enjoyed spending time with his grandson Jared playing video games and guitars. He also loved spending time with his granddaughter Natalie fishing at Da and Granny's.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jake Jones, and mother, Elsie Lewis. Keith leaves behind many loving memories with his wife, Diana Jones, his daughters, Tami Abshire and Jami Jones and husband Bryan Hutchens, sisters Jan Lamb and husband Tim along with Christy Davis and husband Tim, along with many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
A Public Viewing and Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schaudt Glenpool - Bixby Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on October 30, 2024, at Sapulpa Holiness Church located at 1220 S Wickham Rd, Sapulpa, Oklahoma, with Pastor Wesley Selph officiating. Following the funeral, a graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Mounds, Oklahoma.
Jared Hutchens, Bryan Hutchens, Larry Crabtree, David Dale, Rick Contu, and Joey Dale will be the pallbearers for the service.
