Reverend Keith Eugene Millis passed away on November 24, 2021. He was 87 years old.
Keith was a long time resident of Broken Arrow, Ok. He was a member of Aspen Park Baptist Church, where he was one of the many people privileged with helping found the church when it became Clayton Baptist.
Keith was a man of many hats. He started his career as a Navy airman. Through his years he was a postman, grocery stocker, real estate agent, teacher/superintendent, chaplain, fireman, and salesman.
Keith answered the call to ministry and obtained a Master's degree in Divinity from Midwestern Theological Seminary. He went on to lead multiple congregations in worship. He also served as a chaplain to several local hospitals as well as with the Broken Arrow police department.
Keith has touch many lives through his acts of service. He loved to share the word of God with others, and loved to tell stories, especially about fishing. His joy came with connecting with people, as he never knew a stranger. Keith's love for God never wavered. He was truly a fisher of men.
Keith loved his family and couldn't have been more proud.
Keith was survived by his wife, Phyllis Millis, daughters Lori Vicsek and Keitha Kimray, son Jonathan Millis and daughter-in-law JoEllen Millis. He had five grandchildren, Tamara Hueston, Brandon Goodson, Clint Kimray, Jacob Millis and Jared Millis. He had six great grandkids, Anna, Grayson, Amber, Jet, Sophia, Stormie. One sister, Karen Troutman. Three half-sisters Michelle Millis, Virginia Davis, Sharon Rockstead. One half-brother Kenneth Millis Jr.
Keith was preceded in death by mother Esther Burroughs and father Kenneth Millis.
A Celebration of Life was held Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 2:30PM at the Aspen Park Baptist Church, 4400 S. Aspen Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK 74011.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 1:00PM at Park Grove Cemetery, 1000 W. Houston, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
