Kay Frances Reffett Ragusa, age 64, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma to be with her heavenly father.
Mrs. Ragusa was born in Galesburg, Illinois on July 8, 1942 to Birdie Craig and James Dick Reffett. Kay's mother passed away when she was an infant, and with her father in WWII her grandparents; Jennie and Edward Reffett adopted and raised her in Peoria, Illinois.
She married Robert Knickerbocker in 1958; from this union five children were born. Kay moved her family to Streator, Illinois to raise her children and in 1976 she met Emil Ragusa, they later married and had one child.
Kay and Emil moved to Tulsa in 1982 and later to Glenpool in 1991. She worked for China Café from the day the Ling family opened the restaurant until her health forced her to retire in 2006. Kay dearly loved Frank and Sandy Ling and their family.
Some of Kay's hobbies and things she liked to do were reading cook books, fishing, caring for her animals and watching her hummingbirds. Most of all - she enjoyed spending time with her family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; her son: Timothy Timmy Knickerbocker, whom she greatly missed; daughter-in-law, Patty Knickerbocker and several aunts and uncles whom she felt were her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Ragusa is survived by her loving husband of thirty years; Emil Ragusa of Glenpool, OK; three sons: Rickey Knickerbocker and his wife Cherly, Robert Bobby Knickerbocker Jr., and Steve Knickerbocker all of Tulsa, OK; two daughters: Diana Youngblood and her husband, Kevin of Tulsa, OK; SantaMaria Bohn and her husband, Justin of Glenpool, OK; stepsons: Randy Ragusa, Donnie Ragusa and Terry Ragusa; stepdaughters: Tracey White, Chrissy Trainer, Dana Cosenza and Lonnie Kaminski; her deeply loved grandsons: Jason, Chris, Matt, Shawn, Ronnie, Billy, Kevin, Scott, and Justin; her precious granddaughters: Jennifer, Kimberly, Mellisa, Zoe, and Tonya; the apple of her eyes, her great grandchildren: Aakasha, Payton, Brook, and Norma Jean Mayberry and one on the way; her beloved companions Mutt-Mutt, Petie, Dancer and Little Man, along with a host of many friends.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday April 23rd at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel.
Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 24, 2007 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.
