Katherine Hiatt

Katherine "Katie" Mae Hiatt of Tulsa, Oklahoma took her very first steps and as predicted they were into the arms of our loving God, on April 12, 2024. Katie was born on April 2, 1996 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

From a very young age, it was clear that Katie's path would be unique. She puzzled doctors from 5 different states and left the top specialists in the world scratching their heads. The one thing they all agreed upon was that she would never see her 4th birthday. Just several days before, she turned 28, again proving the doctors wrong.

In Katie's short time here, she impacted the lives of many family members, friends, doctors, nurses, therapists and teachers. She will forever be remembered as a shining light, a symbol of strength, love and courageous tenacity.

While she never fit into a traditional box, Katie's presence in our life was a true gift. She had the ability to love unconditionally, the power to lift spirits and light up a room with her sweet giggles.

Katie left an indelible mark on our hearts. Her spirit will continue to inspire us and her memory will always be a beacon of hope and love in our lives.

Thank you Katie for the lessons you taught me, for the joy you brought into my life and the privilege of knowing you, loving you and being your mother. I would have loved to hear your first words, but He designed them for His ears only.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Katie will be held 1:00 PM April 25, 2024 at Harvard Avenue Baptist Church, 3235 E 17th St, Tulsa, Oklahoma with longtime family friend, Loretta Shidler speaking.
