Karl Pierz passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016. He was born on February 7, 1948, the son of Harold and Bernice Pierz. Karl was a quiet man with a big heart for helping others. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Father-in-law, Grandpa, Son and Brother. He never asked for much in life. After spending 42 years working for Union Pacific Railroad, he retired in 2008. Shortly after retirement, Karl and Cindy moved to Bixby, OK to enjoy a more peaceful life, and his precious grandsons. He loved talking to them, watching them play, enjoyed their trips to Chuck-E-Cheese and loved playing hockey with them. Karl was an amazing carpenter. He built many beautiful cabinets and furniture piece, his hands were made of gold. He was a Vietnam veteran, an incredible artist, and enjoyed playing the guitar as a child. His talents were never ending, he could fix anything that needed fixing, and his knowledge of trivia was unbelievable. He loved listening to music and singing, he liked making up funny songs to sing to his grandsons. Karl loved spending time with his two precious sons, they shared their love of fishing and three were devoted Chicago Blackhawks fans. After losing his faithful companion, Brittany, he continued to show his love for animals by picking up stray dogs and helping them find their owners. Karl and his wife, Cindy were together for 47 years, their life was a real love story from beginning to end. There were so many more things in life he had planned to do, but now we can only look back and appreciate all of the memories we had with him, and how each day was a blessing. Karl faced each day with courage and dignity. Karl fought the good fight, and now his suffering is over, he is in Heaven where he truly deserves to be. There are so many, many things we will miss about this kind and gentle man. For anyone hearing this today, we want you to know, we lost a good man and Heaven received him.
