Karen M. Miller

December 27, 1942 — September 15, 2008

Karen M. Miller (Castleberry) of Jenks passed away September 15, 2008 following a courageous battle with Parkinsons Disease. She was born December 27, 1942 in Ada, Oklahoma to Bill and Marion Castleberry. Karen attended Ada High School, East Central State University, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada,
Karen married Jerry Miller on January 28, 1961. They moved to Tulsa in 1965. Karen worked as a tax accountant for more than 30 years, where she achieved the high certification of Enrolled Agent. Karen had quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor; she loved her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, who gave her loving care throughout her illness, Jerry Miller; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela & Jeff Dunn of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Michelle & James Kubala of Kellar, Texas; and four grandchildren, Kaitlyn & Meredith Dunn, Allison & Eric Kubala. She is also survived by her sisters and their husbands, Sharon & Jerry Martin of Tulsa; Billie & Patrick Baucom, of Macomb, Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Karen's in-home caregivers, Linda Carson and Elaine Zellers.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel, 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Johns Hospice at 4720 S. Harvard, St. 202, Tulsa, OK 74135 or Clarehouse at 7324 E. 49th Place, #3, Tulsa, OK 74145, who provided wonderfully compassionate care to Karen in her final days.
