Junior Allen Tyler

Junior Allen Tyler, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the age of 87. He was born March 25, 1926 to Rolla Lee and Eva Mae (Deckard) Tyler in Tampa, Florida. On June 28, 1947, he married Norma Evelyn Thompson in Fremont, Ohio. He served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class. He was a member of the Bedouin Shrine Center of Muskogee and the Masonic Lodge 199 of Okmulgee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolla Lee and Eva Mae Tyler; wife, Norma Evelyn Tyler; son, Allen Lee Tyler; two daughters, Vicky Lynn Skaggs and Penny Louise Tyler; sister, Sandra Kay Hickman and brother, Robert Oscar Tyler. Survivors include his three children, Richard Dana Tyler and wife, Gloria of Saline, Michigan, David Wayne Tyler and wife, Rita of Canton, Michigan and Sharon Kay French of Okmulgee; one sister, Linda Faye Mullins of Washington; four brothers, William Lee Tyler of Henryetta, John Thomas Tuttle and wife, Judy of Beggs, Gary Eugene Tuttle and wife, Helene of Brownstone, Michigan and Donald Ray Tyler and wife, Georgia Sue of Bristow; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Tyler, Mandy Michelle Rucky, Stephanie Renee Tyler, Shannon Marie Tyler, Tony Skaggs, Anthony Skaggs and Jackalynn French; five great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee with Charlie Green officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory in Okmulgee. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Masonic Lodge 199 of Okmulgee. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and the Patriot Guard Riders. In lieu of flowers, the family request donation to be made to the Masonic Lodge or to any charity of your choice. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee
