Judith Lynn Gore Blaylock, "Judy"; Sweetheart, Wife, Mom, Mamaw, and Great Mamaw of Broken Arrow, OK went to her special place in Heaven on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the age of 79 years.

Judy was born in Neosho, MO on December 29, 1944 and died peacefully in her sleep at St Francis hospital after a short stay in intensive care with close family members by her side.

Judy leaves a family and friends that will always remember her as a kind and loving, compassionate, and caring individual. A private burial will be in Heavener, Ok. where she grew up with her parents and graduated from Heavener High School in 1963. A celebration of her life is being planned for January 25, 2025 at Rick's Place in Coweta, Ok. Details will be provided on this website when completed.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jim of Broken Arrow, two sons John and Gail Blaylock of Norman, OK and Jeremy of Oklahoma City, Four grandchildren, Taylor Pullium of Catoosa, OK, Austin Blaylock of Oklahoma City, Jackson Blaylock of Oklahoma City, Jeren Blaylock of Tulsa, OK, and two great grandchildren Watson Pulliam and Marley Pulliam of Catoosa, OK.

Judy graduated from Heavener high school in 1963 and attended college at Eastern State College and Oklahoma State University. Upon Jim's graduation in 1967 the couple moved to Springfield, where the first son John was born. Later, the job moved them to Deerfield, IL which after one year moved back to Springfield where the second son Jeremy was born in the same hospital. The family later moved to Wisconsin where she and the boys enjoyed the snow in the winter and ice skating on the local lagoon during the winter months. She was a good and daring ice skater. In 1976 Jim was offered a job in Tulsa and Judy quickly accepted and prepared the family to move back home to Oklahoma.

Judy was Certified as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 1989 and managed a nursing home in Broken Arrow. After that she become the quality manager for eight homes in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, Muskogee and Stillwater. She retired in (Insert Date) to begin her journey to many locations of her dreams with husband Jim.

Judy loved the fall season when the foliage began to turn. The couple spent many hours driving the roads along the Talimena Scenic Drive, the Great Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway in search of color and found it. She looked forward to planning the trips each year. One special place to her was the Peaks of Otter on the Blue ridge parkway. It is a quiet and peaceful place to stop and view. She was an avid reader of books about the local history and found pleasure in reading about the mountain people in that area. When it was possible she chose the road rather than the air to get to their next destination. That made for more interesting places to visit along the way. Judy completed her bucket list in 2023 with a trip to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado.

One notable drive was to Queen Wilhellimena State Part in Arkansas with their best friends John and Jimmie Cash. The foliage was beautiful as predicted. However as they approached the area a dense fog appeared and completely covered the trees. Only for a few brief seconds a startling view of the forest appeared and then disappeared into the fog. They oftened remembered the "Fog Tour" in Arkansas.

During that period, Judy became "Mamaw" with the birth of the couple's first Grandchild, Taylor Kai Blaylock. Soon after, Austin Blaylock, Jackson Blaylock and Jeren Blaylock appeared on the scene. Mamaw was delighted with the opportunity to spoil the new additions to the family. She became the "babysitter of choice" and spent as much time as possible pursuing the new "job". As time passed it became time for the grandkids to have children and Watson Pulliam and Marley Pulliam become the great grandchildren. They soon became aware that Judy was Mamaw and followed the tradition of calling her Mamaw.
