Judith Juanita (Newton) Watkins of Okay, Oklahoma (formerly of Sand Springs, Ok), age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 surrounded by her loving children at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Judy was born August 31, 1939 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Chester Virgil Newton and Lorene Frances (Reese) Newton. On February 26, 1955, she married Thomas Paul Watkins at Saint Francis Xavier Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Judy worked for Allergy Clinic of Tulsa for many years. She enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her children and their families. She was a hard worker. She was a seamstress when she was younger and she loved playing Bunko. She enjoyed attending her children's sporting and cheerleading events when they were growing up. While living in Sand Springs, Judy was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas Paul Watkins (June 3, 2002). She is survived by her children: James R. Watkins, Sand Springs, John P. Watkins of Sand Springs, her daughters, Deborah Calico and her husband, Chet of Broken Arrow, Kelley Dewey widow of William Dewey of Tulsa, Katherine Burcham and her husband, Bryan of Sand Springs, her eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Judy Watkins of McKinney, Texas, along with other family members, friends and acquaintances. A special thanks to Saint Francis Hospice and the wonderful caregivers at Clarehouse. A celebration of Judy's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Judy's name to Clarehouse, 7617 S. Mingo Road, Tulsa, Oklahoma (918 893-6150). Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
