Juanita Maxine Lay

Juanita Maxine Lay, 91, of Okmulgee, OK, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at her residence.

Juanita was born in Shawnee, OK on September 5, 1925 to Commadore and Josephine May (Edwards) Sivils. She married Lester Lay who preceded her.

Juanita was a homemaker and at the age of 79 had the proud accomplishment of being the oldest Okmulgee High School recipient to obtain their GED at the age of 80.

Juanita is survived by daughters Luane Harris (husband John), Louise Barlow (husband Larry), Karen Barnett (husband Donnie); sons Larry Lay (wife Tanna), Richard Lay (wife Robyn) and Kevin Lay (wife Kathy); 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Graveside Services at the Beggs Cemetery in Beggs, OK will be Friday, January 24, 2017 at 3:00pm with Minister Larry Burchfield.
